New Position
I’m unbelievably excited to join the Database High Availability, Scalability, and Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA) Product Management team at Oracle and start a new position as Product Manager for Multicloud Mission-Critical Database Deployments. In the new role, I’ll support Oracle’s customers and partners to find solutions that meet Oracle’s high availability and scalability standards for mission-critical databases in multicloud environments.
Multicloud
Multicloud is on the rise. According to Gartner’s report, 81% of organizations are working with two or more public cloud providers already. With multicloud, companies are able to choose the best-in-class services from each public cloud provider, ensure continuous availability, avoid vendor lock-in, comply with government regulations, and benefit from competitive pricing. Just recently, Oracle joined the Bandwidth Alliance to help eliminate data transfer fees and simplify the path to multicloud.
Location
I’ll continue to work from Germany, so I’m still based in the CET time zone. However, I’m supporting customers and partners all around the world, across all time zones. When my support is needed, please feel free to reach out to me directly, and we will find a time that works for everyone.
Blog
For sure, I’ll continue writing new blog posts. Understandably, focusing more on multicloud and Oracle Database high availability topics, but also covering Oracle Database Cloud services and Oracle Database migrations to Oracle Cloud whenever possible.
Stay tuned, and if not already, register now to get an email notification when a new blog post is published, no cat videos, no ads for skin cream or washing machines!

Let’s also connect on LinkedIn and Twitter, where I frequently share news and announcements around Oracle Database and Oracle Cloud.
